Season opener in Dortmund with some 300 exhibitors and around 25 motorcycle brands.
The motorcycle industry is converging on the Dortmund Exhibition Centre from 5 to 8 March for the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND 2026. Spreading over five halls, around 300 exhibitors and a good 25 brands will be presenting all the latest products, accessories, and tech. Dortmund kick-starts the season with a show that is open to the consumer public – not just to eye the candy and window-shop, but to compare, seek advice, and even test-ride. New highlights include Hall 6 as an independent part of the exhibition concept featuring a TEST & RIDE AREA, as well as the revitalised Hall 3 with its Main Stage and RACING AREA. Show premieres such as the CIRCUS TRIAL TOUR x DUST MOTO SHOW and community formats such as the Bike Woman of the Year Award round off the programme line-up.
Dortmund, 4 March 2026 – Many bikers sense the start of a new riding season in March. For 40 years now, the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND has been an established rallying point for the community and industry, coming right on cue for the season warmup. In 2026, the show will be cementing its image with five exhibition halls, around 300 exhibitors, and some 25 motorcycle brands. This concentration of two-wheelers showing the big picture allows for direct, side-by-side comparison right at the start of the season. Alongside all the latest models and innovations, from scooters to superbikes, enthusiasts can expect a comprehensive range of accessories, tyre expertise, apparel, and helmets, as well as parts, technical solutions, and services for all aspects of motorcycling.
Five exhibition halls, more adventure – Surging demand drives expansion
Robust demand for exhibition space has led to significant expansion of the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND in 2026. The addition of another hall not only enhances the visitor experience but also increases available exhibition space for brands, models, accessories, and technology. Guests will benefit from even more new features, live formats, and additional hands-on activities. Head-to-head brand comparisons are just as much a part of this as the show and test formats, which significantly enliven the trade fair and represent a focal point in the new Hall 6.
New in 2026: Hall 6 featuring TEST & RIDE AREA and KIDS PARCOURS
The new Hall 6 is a genuine highlight integrated into the exhibition concept as a separate experience world for the first time. The centrepiece is the TEST & RIDE AREA, an organised test track on the exhibition centre grounds where bikes can be tested right there and then. This sees the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND creating a novel format hitherto unknown at German motorcycle trade fairs. Manufacturers of the various brands will each be providing two of their latest models, with Suzuki, KTM, Honda, Harley Davidson and Zontes lined up on the grid. All in all, twelve of the hottest new machines will be available on all four days of the show. Each test ride lasts around 15 minutes, allowing riders good time to experience the feel, performance and technical innovations of the various bikes first-hand. Visitors should register for a test ride online at zweiradmessen.de.
For children aged 6 and over, a show-first KIDS PARCOURS jointly organised by Motorradtraining-mental, Motorrad Mädels Deutschland, and KTM is being set up in the TEST & RIDE AREA, where trained and experienced personnel will be keeping a watchful eye. A new food court rounds off Hall 6 as a meeting point to take a break and enjoy some shop-talk, or just chat.
MAIN STAGE, brand new RACING AREA, spectacular custom bikes
Another highlight in 2026 is the revamped Hall 3, which accentuates the wide diversity of brands on show at the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND. Brands represented in the hall include Triumph, BRABUS, Ducati, KTM, BENDA, CFMOTO, Benelli, VOGE, Zontes, Peugeot Motocycles, UltraViolette, Stark Future, Royal Enfield and NIU. This impressive line-up is complemented by big names from the helmet, tyre, and component sectors, including Schuberth, HJC, LS2, Continental and Ilmberger Carbon.
The MAIN STAGE (powered by MOTORRAD) at the heart of Hall 3 offers a varied programme line-up covering a vast range of topics, talks, premieres and product highlights over the course of the exhibition. Renowned brands such as BMW, HONDA, SW-MOTECH, Kawasaki and Triumph will also be presenting their latest highlights and innovations on stage once again: zweiradmessen.de/programm-dortmund
Another brand new feature is the RACING AREA, a digital racing encounter developed together with “Moto Trainer”. This isn’t about riding solo, but about sharing a racing experience: Riders compete against each other on the latest machines from a range of brands and pit their skills against each other in groups of up to five others. This brings racing to life in a community format, including head-to-head comparison and awards for the fastest riders.
Another special feature delivering compelling visuals is the REVIERBIKE SPECIAL SHOW (Hall 3 / Stand 3.C08). In 2026, true to the motto “Standard bikes are a must! – but we can do so much more!,” it will once again be showcasing around 25 selected customisations based on various makes, models and vintages, representing individuality and perfect craftsmanship. Widening the horizons of the custom scene for the first time this year, tricked-out scooters and mopeds will also be part of the presentation.
New highlight unveiled – Circus Trial Tour x DUST MOTO SHOW
Another programme highlight premiering in Dortmund will be adding extra flair: The DUST MOTO SHOW sees the CIRCUS TRIAL TOUR bringing a new live format to the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND, with motorcycle stunts, evocative visuals, and thrilling action, charging the atmosphere at the exhibition several times a day. The programme line-up will also be enlivened by a BMX Flatland Performance starring Adam Kun.
Programme on multiple STAGES – Travel, Adventure, Community and Workshops
The exhibition programme will be running in various formats and locations in 2026, with a sharp focus on travel, tourism, and adventure as key motivators for many bikers. Located in Hall 2, the former Travel stage now bears the new moniker ADVENTURE & TRAVEL STAGE and serves as a meeting place for those seeking more than just another rideout. Experienced organisers and bikers will be taking their audiences along on tours from the North Cape to Mongolia, to fire up the imagination and get boots itching with true stories, stunning imagery, and first-hand accounts. Powered by Abenteuer Motorrad and TOUREN FAHRER, the platform combines travel expertise and tour ideas with the opportunity for community interaction. The programme line-up is complemented by the MAIN STAGE in Hall 3 and workshops, including those at Stand 3.E18 in Hall 3.
HIDDEN CHAMPIONS, niche technology, and underrated icons
The PS.SPEICHER, Europe’s largest transport museum experience, is presenting a choice selection of rare motorcycles from several decades at the MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND. On display are machines which, despite being technically ahead of their time, were largely overlooked on the market, and are now considered true hidden champions of motorcycle history. This top-notch showcase (Hall 3, Stand 3.E35) ranges from extraordinary concepts to models with exciting backgrounds, and tells of bold ideas, missed opportunities and fascinating technology. It shows that it is not just the legendary machines that shape the motorcycling world, but also those unsung heroes that inspire enthusiasm.
Bike Woman of the Year – Award for empowered trailblazers in the motorcycling world
Continuing clear community messaging in 2026, bike & business will be presenting the “Bike Woman of the Year” award for the ninth time. The award ceremony will be held on Saturday, 7 March 2026, in Dortmund. Here, the spotlight turns on women who are actively engaged in the motorcycling business and/or give their time voluntarily to clubs, associations or initiatives.
